My own personal gift on the first birthday of my son: My mastitis is back again with a vengeance. I managed to catch my doctor about ten minutes before his office closed, and he called me in some antibiotics and pain medication, and I get to go see him in person tomorrow. So I am back to hot lavender compresses, antibiotics and diflucan, and more useless hydrocodone.
I really, really don't need this right now.

OUCH!
Came by way of the NaBlo randomizer... I feel your pain. My son was born a preemie and never latched on, so I had to pump and then got a really bad case of mastitis. I could not FACE the evil pumping machine and had to give u on the pumping.
I sure hope the antibiotics work well, and work quickly!
Hello... you don't know me but I found you via the NaBloPoMo site. I can relate to the hell of mastitis. I had it several times when I was nursing my son. We had gone through all kinds of breastfeeding issues, and it felt like all roads led to mastitis. Ohh I remember how awful it felt.
I hope you are feeling better or that you feel better soon!
